CHARACTER DESIGN
& ILLUSTRATION
Commissioned character design and illustration — from client brief to final light.
Context
Commissioned character illustrations created for clients through Fiverr, from brief and visual references to final delivery. The work spans original characters, fan art, and atmospheric scenes shaped around each client's story.
Track record
100+ clients, 200+ completed commissions, and a 5.0 Fiverr rating — supported by consistently positive feedback on both the final artwork and the collaboration process.
Process
Lock values and silhouettes before colour.
Colour comes last. Working through two greyscale passes first means the image already reads at thumbnail size — the silhouette, focal point, and depth are settled before a single hue is chosen.
Key decision
Shifting the background from a neutral greyscale fog into deep forest greens grounded the creature in its environment, allowing warm highlights along the spine to pull the eye straight to the character's core.
Second pass · Commissioned fan art · Mo Dao Zu Shi
Applying the system to atmosphere and light.
A second pass proving that the pipeline holds across different lighting conditions and line-driven moods — locking ink line and tonal weight before applying washes of colour.
Character design
Turnarounds, costumes, and colour scripts.
Production-ready character studies: silhouette exploration, colour development, front and back views, and costume variants.
Jester process
Character details and palette are developed only after the turnaround is structurally clear.
